  • All electric models U5 SUV and U7 ion concept to be part of AIWAYS CES Asia exhibition

Shanghai, 4 June 2019 – AIWAYS, the Shanghai-based personal mobility provider, is previewing its industry-first artificial intelligence (AI) and augmented reality (AR) technology at CES Asia 2019.

The ‘AI Virtual Assistant’ is a new driver-support technology which uses AI algorithms to create an on-board assistant with human appearance and voice that can be defined and personalized by the user.

Other AI features developed to offer maximum support and safety for users include a ‘Multimodal Active Interaction System’ and ‘Driver Monitoring System’, while the ‘AR User Manual’ and ‘AR Story Platform’ take augmented reality technology in innovative new directions.

These new AI and AR features will be presented to CES Asia visitors as part of the AIWAYS holistic ‘Intelligent Care System’ connectivity package, set to be an integral part of the all-electric U5 SUV when it goes on sale in selected markets in 2020.

The production-ready U5 will be part of the AIWAYS CES Asia exhibition, and represents a statement of intent from a company that aims to be the first Chinese carmaker to bring affordable, connected and zero-emissions family transport to the European market. The U5 will be joined by AIWAYS concept car, the U7 ion – a model that hints at the direction in which the company’s all-electric range could develop in future.

More information on new AIWAYS technologies will be revealed during its press conference at 14:30 CST on 11 June. CES Asia attendees should visit the AIWAYS exhibition area (Hall N5, Booth 5388) to find out more.

CES Asia 2019 takes place 11-13 June at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC).
